Epic Monster Battles
Epic Monster Battles is a recurring window where epic monster hits pay out extra VP and XP.
Captains
Section titled “Captains”- Solo: Hercules.
- Group: Amanitore.
- Army strength: Cleopatra (or Aydae for PvP-style setups).
Stacking bonuses
Section titled “Stacking bonuses”Layer as many multipliers as possible on a single march:
- Clan territory.
- Doria as VP bonus captain (swap out after the window).
- Great Hunt 2× (if active).
- Clan Altar (Seasonal Kingdom).
- Premium title: Army strength/health variant.
- Personal bonuses: Army strength, VP.
See VP Farming for the complete recipe.
March composition
Section titled “March composition”Use the Troop Stack Calculator to distribute troops across your Leadership, Authority, and Dominance caps. Enable Elite Preservation so the higher-tier stacks survive the round and keep contributing kills.
Before sending, confirm you can actually kill at least one monster in the target squad. Overflow damage is wasted; see Combat Mechanics for the HP-package math.
Unit focus by event
Section titled “Unit focus by event”Most epic monster squads have weaker ranged enemies than melee ones, so Riders are the default pick. The exception is Arachne, which is flying-heavy.
| Event | Primary unit | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Doomsday, Hellforge, Ragnarök, TinMan, Shadow Invasion | Riders | Ranged targets dominate these squads. |
| Arachne | Archers (or Archers + Riders) | Do not bring Spearmen; they underperform here. |
Arachne specifics
Section titled “Arachne specifics”Every monster in an Arachne squad except the main unit has 33,000 HP. At Guardsman I baseline, Spearmen get ~39% vs. mounted, Archers get ~67% vs. flying, Riders get ~65% vs. ranged. Arachne monsters skew flying/ranged, so Archers deal the most efficient damage; mixing in Riders is fine. Spearmen are the worst option and should be left out of the march.
