Clash for the Throne (CoT) is the major PvP event in Total Battle. Missteps cost real troops and resources.
CoT runs on a 12-day cycle.
Play SMART
Section titled “Play SMART”- S: Shield. Or do all of the rest. Shielded means immune.
- M: March troops to fort when offline. A city without troops can’t lose them.
- A: Active portals only. Close portals when done; open portals are attack vectors.
- R: Resources below warehouse protection. Anything over cap is raidable.
- T: Taxes out. Send gold ingots to capital instead of sitting on them.
Captain setup
Section titled “Captain setup”- Defense: Leonidas + Cleopatra / Aydae. Specialists (Swordsmen) are your PvP core with 2× attack vs. players.
- Offense: Type-matched (Minamoto/Alexander/Wu Zetian) + Cleopatra or Aydae. Add Griffins.

Organized group attacks
Section titled “Organized group attacks”For clan-coordinated attacks, the CP Run Calculator sizes every participant stack to the same base HP cap and scales the tank’s troops so one of its stacks absorbs one participant stack. Lower caps spread losses over more stacks; higher caps concentrate them.
After the run, the tank counts losses and the participants chip in. Use the Compensation Calculator to convert the lost troops into the silver each participant owes, scaled by the tank’s Guard tier.
